
The alias of electronic musician and producer Amar Zahirović, KO3A (Koza) makes down-tempo techno music inspired by house and UK drum and bass. Born in Sofia (Bulgaria), Zahirović moved to Brixton, South London in his late teens and began producing his own music after learning to play the guitar and drums. Inspired by the likes of Flying Lotus and Cashmere Cat, by the age of 18 he had a small fan base of around 15,000 followers on SoundCloud where he posted his first tracks and remixes. His track “Priest” gained a lot of attraction and ultimately secured his first gig was at the XOYO nightclub in London. KO3A also DJ’ed at Brixton Jamm. The same month, he won a competition held by Young Turks and subsequently signed with the label to release a 2014 EP named “Metamorphosis”. The following year, he released Levels, a collaborative single featuring fellow London artist Nao which reached number 8 on the Spotify Viral charts in the UK and USA. In May 2017 he announced he was working on his third album, set to release later this year.
